simbrain.jar won't load

Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?  I tried, openwith-Java when clicking on Simbrain.jar.  It tries to open, then nothing.

Hi there,

You can start by making sure java 1.8 or higher is installed.  To check open a terminal or command window and enter "java -version".

If java is installed and it still won't work again go to the command line (terminal or command prompt), go to where the Simbrain.jar is, and enter "java -jar Simbrain.jar"
